FDM NIR Spectra of Food and Agricultural Materials (330 Spectra)

These reflectance spectra (1/logR) cover 1000 nm to 2600 nm and most of the ground samples have a 100-300 micrometer mean particle diameter. These data are available in GRAMS and other formats. They were measured on a computer driven Cary monochrometer at the prestigious USDA Instrument and Sensing Laboratory in Beltsville, Maryland, USA. These are available to serve the rapidly expanding FTNIR community and embody the first collection of digital reference spectra relating to food or agricultural materials.

For new and old NIR users alike, these data are of the highest quality obtainable by virtue of the USDA's unmatched expertise in NIR spectroscopy. Its the first database of its kind and is available only from FDM. The spectra cover materials such as agricultural commodities, sugars, complex carbohydrates, food oils, proteins, organic salts, mineral salts, amino acids, complex amino acids, small organic acids, and various other foodstuffs.
