This set of libraries is for rapid screening of plastics using Raman spectroscopy. Use it to characterize (1)blended resins, (2)resins and fillers, (3)resins and plasticizers, and (4)resins and polymer additives. Intended for use with the FDM Raman Polymers and other libraries in the FDM Raman Bundle. This library can help you instantly identify simple multi-component plastic materials and it can speed the analysis of more complex materials. Applications include product failure analysis, foresnsic trace analysis, plastic recycling and microplastic analysis.

Infrared spectra and Raman spectra can have much different peak intensities. For instance, the Raman spectrum of poly(acrylonitrile) has a much stronger nitrile peak than the infrared spectrum.
